Note: This information is only 100% true for Jack in his original story.

Basics

Full Name: John "Jack" Martin (I really need to figure out his middle name.)
Nicknames: Jack (hardly counts as a nickname because it's what everyone ever calls him)
Sex: Male
Age: 21
Birth Date: April 12
Death Date (If character has died): Nope.
Birthplace: Somewhere in New England. Need to figure this out!
Current Residence: New York City
Race (If human then state nationality): American

Appearance

Height: A few inches taller than average
Weight: A few pounds lighter than average
Body Type: Slightly tall/slender
Eyes: Light grey
Hair: Light blond
Skin: Pale
Distinguishing Characteristics/Markings: None that I can think of.
Physical Flaws/Birthmarks/Scars: None come to mind.
Usual Attire: Dresses nicely but not with any particular style to speak of. He wears a lot of button-down shirts.
Tattoos/Piercings: None.
Other Accessories: None that come to mind. This is subject to change.

Personality

Personality Traits: He's sort of naive, though he can sometimes hide it with smarts and charisma. He comes off as a good deal more warm and open than a lot of guys, which can give him an advantage with women. He's almost compulsively polite at times, in part thanks to his upbringing. He's neat and organized.
What annoys him/her? Intentionally rude people.
What makes him/her happy? Acts of selfless altruism. Keeping people he loves happy. Avoiding conflict.
What does he/she think is disgusting? Puke, crap, and rotten food (so basically the normal stuff). Also has a mild aversion to his own sexual feelings.
Greatest Fears/Phobias: Being spotted by an old friend or relative; car accidents; seeing women naked; causing others harm.
Patience Level: Generally very high. It takes a lot for him to give up on someone who seems in need of help.
Self-esteem: Used to be pretty high, though never quite unhealthily so. He could be a bit arrogant sometimes because of all the advantages he'd had in life; he was smart and nice and good-looking and he knew it. But this was always balanced out by a concern for people and a willingness to help them. His self-esteem has taken a big dive in the last few months.
Does he/she fit into a certain clique (goths, jocks, preps, etc.)? Not really.
Hobbies/Interests: Knows some piano and a good deal of Latin. Thinks quite a bit about philosophy (whether he wants to or not).

Favorites:

Color- He usually says it's blue.
Food- Chocolate pudding. He makes it at 4 AM when he's lost control of his life.
Place- He likes the back room of the shop where he works. Though his absolute favorite place would probably have to be in Delilah's arms.
Animal- Dachshunds because his family had a really sweet one named Lily when Jack was a kid.
Clothing- Comfortable but stylish.
School Subject- Religious philosophy (formerly, anyway)
Music (genre)- He likes a lot of show tunes from musicals and such (he used to get made fun of for this in school), and various tuneful rock/pop songs. Classical is good too. Of course there's the inevitable slew of Christian-themed songs as well, though he doesn't enjoy those quite so much lately.
Books (genre)- Slice of life fiction. He really enjoyed The Great Gatsby in high school. He used to like a lot of biographies of religious leaders as well.
Movies (genre)- Movies with what he considers good writing, human emotions/relationships. No particular genre.
Season- Formerly spring. Now, none in particular.
Time of Day- Morning.
Holiday- Formerly Christmas. Now, none in particular.

Least Favorites:

Color- He doesn't really like it when a bunch of garish colors are just thrown together. He doesn't really have a particular least favorite.
Food- No idea. Will come back to this.
Place- Ditto.
Animal- I dunno. Things that have the highest chance of giving deadly poisonous bites?
Clothing- He'd get super uncomfortable in women's clothing because he's insecure about his sexuality.
School Subject- None, really. He's had boring teachers but found no single subject to be particularly boring.
Music (genre)- Probably rap. He prefers music with a melody.
Books (genre)- Need to figure this out.
Movies (genre)- Action; poorly-written chick flicks.
Season- Spring. He sort of dreads it.
Time of Day- Evening.
Holiday- Probably Christmas. He's not sure how he's going to deal with seeing all the lights and trees celebrating something he doesn't believe in anymore.

Personal

Long-term Goals: Figure out how to live his life; make up with his parents.
Short-term Goals: Make a steady living; stay alive; help people.
What does he/she think of him/herself? He really doesn't know what to think.
If he/she could have one wish, what would it be? Bring Delilah back.
What other wishes does he/she have? He sort of wants to go back to seminary and go crawling back to his parents and friends. Mostly he wishes he could have a normal life and feel okay again.
How did your character die if they did? Nope.
Belongings: Bicycle, pants, shirts, underwear, keys...am I supposed to list everything?
Prized Possession: None quite yet. Need to come back to this.
Religion/Beliefs: Atheist; formerly devout Catholic.
Political Preference: Moderate.
Darkest Secret: His past and the level of personal conflict he's dealing with right now. (Also this weird sexual attraction to other men he seems to feel sometimes.)
Guilty Pleasures: Masturbation. And sometimes show tunes.
Does he/she keep a diary or journal? Nope, though he did write a few frantic letters to Delilah in a period of acute grief. He generally believes secrets are best kept when you don't write them anywhere.

Relationships

Family Living With: None.
Family Situation: Not currently in contact with any family. He's his parents' only child. They'd had trouble conceiving and considered Jack's existence to be pretty much a miracle. They put all their effort into raising him in the way they believed was best.
Former Friends: James, his seminary roommate. Various high school and seminary friends.
Current Friends: Rose, his boss; Randy, his roommate (now former roommate in [profile] thecornerbar )
Former Love Interest: Delilah.
Current Love Interest: None.
Former Enemies: Not sure. Should probably come back to this.
Current Enemies: None to speak of.

What does he/she think of people? Mixed views, though most of the time he can't help but like them.
What do people think of her/him? Usually makes a warm, charming impression.
What do his/her friends like about him/her? Delilah: Kindness, warmth, intelligence, compassion, honesty, good looks, willingness to commit. Randy: kindness, leniency, concern, relative sanity. Rose: Dependability, honesty, kindness, vulnerability, pretty eyes, BS spiritual qualities such as aura.
What do his/her friends dislike about him/her? Delilah: Unnecessarily guilty conscience, sometimes overbearing enthusiasm for their relationship, attempts at keepin' it pure for Jesus, tendency to bottle up emotions during fights. Randy: naivete, not into drugs, occasional inability to "understand what he means" Rose: vulnerability, occasional hints of cynicism/skepticism, tendency to worry himself and ask too many questions, naivete.
Why do his/her enemies hate him/her? He could be a bit too Pollyanna-ish in high school sometimes. Some were a little jealous of him as well. Some didn't get along with his passionate religious beliefs.
Popularity among Peers: Formerly quite popular. He managed to be well-liked by people from a lot of different high school social castes because he was friendly and easygoing. Of course, this in turn made some people snub him, but hey, what can you do?
Occupation: He works as a psychic and assistant in a small shop.
Affiliations (rank if there is one): Huh?
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual and in denial. If you ask him he'll most likely tell you he's straight.
Relationship Status: Single and not looking. (That doesn't mean he can't end up finding someone anyway, however! Just know there will be angst and reluctance and it will take a long time.)
Virgin? Nope, though he is relatively inexperienced considering he's only ever slept with one person.
Hate anyone? Not truly.
Killed anyone? Nope.
Would you and your character get along? It's pretty likely.
Would you like to hang out with your character? In a universe where I haven't caused all his problems? Definitely.
Would your character like you? Probably, though not in a place like dear_mun where he knows what I've done to him...

Abilities/Achievements

Achievements: High school valedictorian.
Failures: Seminary drop-out.
Education: High school. Made it through most of his third year of seminary.
Abilities/Powers: Are we talking magical here? None.
Skills: Very good verbal skills. Intelligence. Charisma.
How strong is he/she? Not particularly strong or weak for a guy his age.
How high is his/her IQ? Pretty high.
What would his/her average grades in school be (even if they don't attend)? Right at this moment? He might still be flunking, I'm not sure.

Health

Diet: Meh. He doesn't live on junk food (most of the time), but he's definitely no health junkie, either.
Exercise: He doesn't have a car, and rides a bicycle (or a bus) pretty much everywhere he needs to go. Other than that, not much exercise to speak of.
Bad Habits: Chocolate pudding. Tendency to bury his feelings out of politeness.
Physical Health Problems: Not many. He's pretty lucky that way.
Mental Health Problems: Depression and anxiety brought on by the events of the past few months.
Hygiene: He's usually pretty good about it, erring on the "neat" side of things. He doesn't keep up with it quite so well when he's feeling depressed, though.

Situations (What would he/she do or how would he/she react?)

Your character is called up for an award and is congratulated.

Step up and accept it with class and gratitude. He's done this quite a few times before.

Your character didn't win any awards and watches as someone else is congratulated.

Clap and be happy for them. Of course he'd be a little disappointed if he'd been hoping to win, but he'd keep quiet about it.

Your character is winning at a game of some kind.

Act triumphant in a jokey sort of manner.

Your character lost at a game of some kind.

Shrug and be a good sport. Maybe congratulate the other person.

Your character has a crush on someone and must find out how to tell them.

He wouldn't tell them. He'd probably bury it very deeply because having a new crush (not to mention a new relationship) would bring all sorts of guilt and feelings he's nowhere near ready to deal with. He might even avoid the person.

Your character tells that person and they agree to go out with them.

Okay, let's pretend this was in the old days when he would have told the person in the first place. He'd probably grin, act appropriately happy and relieved, then catch himself daydreaming and smiling stupidly all day.

Your character tells that person and gets rejected.

Again, assuming this is in the past: say "okay," apologize, then go deal with his hurt feelings elsewhere if need be.

Your character is asked out by someone they like.

Pretty much the same as if he asks them out.

Your character is asked out by someone they don’t like that way.

Be embarrassed and probably act apologetic. He doesn't like hurting people.

Your character's crush is revealed by someone else.

He'd probably blush and do his best to act normal. He might be pretty mad at the person who revealed it, depending on the situation.

Your character must work on a project with a person they don’t like.

Try to be as diplomatic and cordial as possible. He's a pacifist and takes pride in avoiding conflict.

Your character loses a family member or a close friend.

Well, according to past example: go nearly insane with grief and question all of his beliefs and the reason for his existence.

Your character loses a pet.

He doesn't have a pet, but he'd be very sad and probably cry. He had a really hard time getting over Lily's death when he was 12.

Your character loses a very important personal belonging.

Sentimental value? Was it something connected to Delilah? He'd be very upset and might need time to brood about it on his own. Was it his keys or wallet? Go "oh crap" and deal with the consequences.

Your character loses something that they were borrowing.

Be embarrassed, probably apologize slightly more than is helpful, and be sure to pay for or replace whatever it was.

Your character is stolen from.

Are we talking mugged? He'd do whatever the criminal told him unless he was 99.9% sure he could get away.

Your character is offered drugs/alcohol/a cigarette.

Drugs or cigarette: just say no. Alcohol: most likely no as well.

Your character is publicly humiliated in front of a lot of people.

These situations are not specific enough! Does he think the humiliation was justified? I really can't answer this. I guess my closest guess is he'd try to get away from the whole situation.

Your character is being picked on by some bullies.

Try to defend himself, up to the point where nobody's listening to anyone. Then he'll walk away from the situation.

Your character is physically attacked by some bullies.

Run, and run fast. He's a pacifist, and was pretty decent at track in high school.

Your character killed someone.

Oh god horrible horrible guilt. The kind of guilt that would make him want to end his own life, depending on the circumstances.

Your character witnessed a murder.

He'd be pretty scarred and probably relive the incident over and over in his mind. Crying is in order, and definitely some alone time. He really can't take death very well at all.

Your character is being argued with.

He'd do his best to listen to that person's side of the situation. He often treats arguments with an almost therapist-like attitude of detachment, which doesn't always serve him well. However, he does take pride in his own conflict-resolution skills.

Your character trips and hurts him/herself.

Groan, get up, hope no one saw, examine wounds and treat them as is necessary.

Your character is given a gift they’ve always wanted.

"Aww, thanks!" Then he might hug the person or go on about why the gift is so perfect. Or if it's particularly expensive he might make a halfhearted attempt at not accepting it.

Your character is given a gift they couldn’t care less about.

"Aww, thanks!" Then he'd probably try to quickly change the subject because he hates lying outright.

Your character arrives home after a bad day.

He'd flop down somewhere and try to fall asleep before his thoughts started circling in particularly destructive ways.

Your character arrives home after a good day.

It really varies...he might cook himself some dinner or read a book or something. Maybe he'd consider calling his parents and then quickly decide against it.
